This week, LHMS students are being assigned their 1-to-1 laptop. This is a districtwide initiative to get a device into the hands of all Polk County students. All LHMS students will be assigned a laptop, a charger, and a carrying case. 

Students need to bring their laptop to school every day. Students will not be allowed to charge them at school. All chargers are to be left at home.

When your student brings home their laptop, please make sure they charge it – every night. The expectation is that ALL students will bring their fully charged laptop to school every day. They will use it in some classes all the time, other classes on occasion, and for all state and district assessments.

All students will take a laptop training course next week. This covers acceptable use, as well as internet safety.
